Internship @ Framatome

At the Framatome site in Karlstein am Main, I had the opportunity to develop a prototype as part of an R&D project based on a requirements specification. The goal was to investigate a method for determining the active power from the current data of a three-phase actuator - without the need for direct voltage measurement, which is required in conventional methods. I was given a basic idea as a starting point and then developed an algorithm that applies that idea and compares the result with conventional data processing using real measurement data.

I found the special safety measures at Framatome particularly fascinating, as they ensure safe operation in the nuclear sector. The factory tour in Karlstein also left a lasting impression on me, as it showcased many test setups for new developments as well as numerous specialized production lines.
